Today in class and some at home, i called the chicago police department in garfield park and they led me to their website, when i looked into it the web site had some good facts about the garfield park district, but it was from at the latest 2009. so i will have to do some more digging on their website or call again another day.

I don't think it's necessarily bad to use 2009 stats if these are the best stats you can find. What do the 2009 stats reveal? What conclusions can you make from these statistics?
